This site started in 2005, about one inmate at the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Victorville, California. It became about the whole Victorville FCC, and then about the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in La Tuna, New Mexico/Texas.

Today, the BOP FOIA Project exists to make as many records from and about the Federal Bureau of Prisons as accessible as possible.

This site is non-partisan, and non-commercial. It is about open government and self-governance. Persons of all persuasions are welcome, and any kind of federal agency records may be sought (though as the name says, we focus on the Federal Bureau of Prisons).

Enjoy reading what is already here, and come back again to check for updates.
